Mediation Course

The aim of the course is to enhance specific knowledge in conflict analysis and mediation skills of the participants which could be successfully applied in emerging and ongoing crisis situations.

Conflux Center and the Embassy of Egypt in Belgrade, President of the Group of the Francophone Ambassadors in Belgrade, will co-organize the seminar to mark the 75th anniversary of the UN and the 50th anniversary of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) with a variety of speakers, renowned experts in this field, from a number of francophone countries. The seminar will take place in conjunction with the mediation course and will be open to the participants of the course.

The training consists of contributions by senior experts and practitioners in this field, facilitated discussions, and simulation exercises.

The program is designed for mid and senior level civilian, military and police staff of international organizations, governments, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions with the view to enhancing their knowledge and conflict analysis and mediation skills

The content of the course aims to create a platform for an exchange of experiences, as well as the best practices and the trends in the field of mediation between participants and facilitators.


Hotel M (the venue for the course) is offering a special rate for attendees should they wish to stay at the hotel.

Partial subsidy could be available at later stage if additional funding is provided. Those interested in partial subsidy should send CV and Motivation letter not later than 31st July to office@confluxcenter.org.

 

Upon online registration participants will receive the invoice, joining  instructions, course program and all other necessary information, as well as any assistance they might need.

 

Please be informed that Hotel M (the venue) offers the course participants a special rate of 96,00 EUR/day, all meals and transportation from and to the airport included. In order to receive the special rate you will have to contact the hotel directly and request the application from hotel’s booking service at office@hotel-m.com (do not make an online reservation), and provide your travel itinerary in order for the hotel to arrange your pick up from the airport.

Please emphasize any dietary or special food requests!

Those who decide to stay in a hotel other than Hotel M, please be informed that taxis are available in front of the airport and can cost up to 20 EUR for the trip anywhere in Belgrade. The only accepted currency is the dinar (exchange rate is approximately 117,50 dinars for 1,00 EUR). Credit cards are widely accepted.

 

It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they acquire any necessary visas (including transit) for their travel.

 

    Holders of foreign passports having a valid Schengen, UK and other EU

    Member States’ visa, or visa of the United States of America, and for

    holders of foreign passports having residence permit in the countries of

    the Schengen area, EU or the United States of America may, without prior

    visa application, enter, transit or stay in the Republic of Serbia up to

    90 days during a six-month period, but not exceeding the expiring date

    of the said visas or residence permits. Also, holders of UN Passports do

    not need visas for visits of up to 90 days.

  Conflux Center is not responsible for any health care expenses. Health insurance and medical requirements depend on where the participants are residing, in accordance to Serbian laws, and are the personal responsibility of each participant. All participants should have adequate insurance.
