Judge ad hoc of the International Court of Justice (1993-present) in cases related to the Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide as well as the Legality of the Use of Force. Graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade. Earned an LLM degree in May 1974 cum laude. In September of 1977, he completed his doctoral thesis at the Law University of Belgrade cum laude. Elected assistant lecturer to the Department of International Public Law in 1975, assistant professor in 1978, associate professor in 1985, and full time professor in 1990.
