SUMMARY:Gender Mainstreaming in Peace Operations and Gender Mainstreaming In Mediation Course (JULY)
DESCRIPTION:The objective of the course is to expand specific knowledge on gender issues with the view to applying gender perspective in all policies\, actions\, plans and procedures in integrated peace operations and to improve understanding of the role women could play in conflict prevention and conflict resolution\, and to enhance specific skills of the participants in gender sensitive conflict analysis and mediation process design.\nCourse is focused on: \n1. Gender mainstreaming on the operational and tactical levels in the different disciplines of peace operations and\n2. Gender sensitive mediation. \nThe course program is designed for: \nCivilians\, military and police officers working in international organizations\, those working in the public sector\, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions or  those preparing themselves to serve in the area of peace operations or in diplomatic services. \n  \nThe course fee will include: \nTraining activities  \nadministrative materials \nopening and closing ceremonies \nfarewell dinner and\,\n \nsightseeing tour \nPartial subsidy could be available at later stage if additional funding is provided. Those interested in partial subsidy should send CV and Motivation letter not later than 31st May. \nThe course will be conducted at Hotel M\, Bulevar Oslobodjenja 56a\, Belgrade. \nHotel M will offer special daily rates for course participants which includes: \n\n\n\nAccommodation in the single room\nBreakfast\, lunch and dinner\nTransportation to and from airport \nFree Wi-Fi\n\n\n\nIf you want to book your stay at Hotel M directly\, please request application form hotel’s booking service at office@hotel-m.com. Please emphasize in your message that you are attending the course organized by Conflux Center in order to receive the special rate. \nPlease emphasize any dietary or special food requests! \nShould you prefer\, you can arrange and pay for your accommodation at Hotel M through Conflux Center. \nParticipants are free to choose other accommodation in Belgrade\, but in that case\, transportation to and from the airport\, to and from the event(s) venue\, accommodation and meals (excluding official dinners and cocktails)\, are their own responsibilities. \nTransportation around Belgrade\, daily allowances\, visa costs and other associated cash emoluments for participants are their own responsibility or that of the organization which is sponsoring their participation.
